Stroke Information for Patients & Families


SCANR, the Stroke National Capital Area Network for Research provides patients, their families, and caregivers with valuable resources about how to recognize the symptoms of a stroke and understand how strokes are diagnosed and treated. The goal of SCANR is to provide combine and integrate the region’s best resources to conduct research in acute stroke, secondary stroke prevention, stroke rehabilitation and pediatric stroke.
